There have been many strides made in regard to employment of persons with disabilities. I decided it was time to make a change. It was time to write about the experiences of a job seeker with a disability. I have written about my personal experiences in looking for work.

Book logoThere are many job search programs and services available to help people looking for work. There is also an increasing effort to make this information available but change is a slow process. This book addresses the unique difficulties and barriers people with disabilities encounter when looking for work.

This book has been written for job seekers with disabilities who have decided to look for work, or have decided to give to search one more try. For those of you who are so discouraged you have stopped looking for work, take a minute and think about it. If you are reading this, it could be the first step in helping you to make your decision to give the job search one more try.

This book has also been written for employers, human resource professionals, and other employment service providers. The best way to begin, or continue, your education on disability, is to read about the experiences of job seekers with a disability, and gain insight into the realities of the job search from the perspective of someone with a disability.
